All Abilities Flamenco Class (Virtual)

Join Clara Rodriguez, director of AguaClara Flamenco for an intro into fiery, rhythmic Flamenco dance!  Clara will teach a combo of basic technique and easy to learn choreography, with students learning floreo (hand movements), braceo (arm movements), palmas and pitos (rhythmic handclapping and finger snaps) and fun dance combos to inspiring musical selections!  This class will focus on the lively 4/4 rhythmic style called rumba, where dancers will try out their own personal flair and style with easy to follow movements.

Currently we have Closed Captions (CC) for our classes but we are working on getting an ASL interpeter for our classes. If this is something you need, please make sure to indicate it, so we can make sure to support you.

Cost: We have a suggested donation of $5-15. Your donations directly go towards paying our instructors and allows us to offer these dance classes available for all abilities! If you are not able to donate at this time, we still hope to see you there! Just make sure to select "Free" when you register.

More information about instructor; Clara Rodriguez is artistic director and founder of AguaClara Flamenco, based in Oakland, CA.  She has been training and working professionally in the flamenco world for nearly 30 years, and has since been a featured soloist in productions throughout the United States, Spain, Portugal and India.
