I am a 35 year old woman with Spina Bifida. I was born in Colorado but I spent most of my life in California – in Monterey and San Diego. I have always loved physical activity and I have a degree in Kinesiology with emphasis in Exercise Science. Throughout my life I tried almost every available wheelchair sport but my biggest passion is dance and bringing dance and all its benefits to the disability community. My fascination with dance started from the wheelchair dancesport camp in Poland where I trained with some amazing dancers. From that moment I was hooked on dance and used every opportunity to take dance classes – in college or in the dance studios in town. I like many types of dance from ballroom and salsa to dance fitness. A few years ago I discovered WOD U-Jam and I loved both the format and the sense of unity it provides. I got certified as an instructor and I try to use every opportunity to share my passion.
